New Exceptional Cuvée Jean de Granvilliers

A mischievous man with a stern face, former owner of Château Lusseau, Jean de Granvilliers was a writer. I share with this ancestor a taste for storytelling, but my stories aren’t meant to be read: they’re meant to be drunk.
Let me conjure his character, his singularity, through a tasting of three great volumes vintages of this wine, which I dare to call exceptional.
Each vintage is a chapter: a year, a climate, a hand that knew how to accompany it without ever forcing its writing. Together, these three volumes tell, in their own way, the memory of a man and that of a terroir.
Like all the wines of Château Lusseau, this cuvée comes from the property’s seven hectares, farmed according to organic principles. It is the fruit of a family vineyard established for more than a century in the Graves appellation, a few kilometers from the great Pessac-Léognan estates, yet true to its own character rather than their codes.
A wine of terroir, a wine of history, to be tasted as one turns a page.
